Compassionate Communication Workshop
Led by special guest teacher Dawn Thompson
Jan. 13, 2021 @ 6pm EST / livestream via Zoom / approx. 90 minutes
The english language is ready for an upgrade! Most of the current types of communication creates conflict and counter-aggression. With everyone on edge, tremendous empathy is needed.
Luckily, we have a fantastic modality created by Dr. Marshall Rosenburg. He wrote the book "Nonviolent Communication; A Language of Life".
In this time of great divide, there are ways to communicate with yourself, family, and on social media that can create deep connections. Instead of focusing on 'right and wrong', you discover the life force that lives within us all. It's time we have tools to unify.
Did you know that everyone across the world has 47 universal needs? If these needs aren't met, you can feel 'negative emotions' such as anger, sadness, and grief.
Dawn will teach you an interactive practice that will help you understand yourself and express your desires (in a way that doesn't trigger others). Learn how to be heard with non-judgement, observation, deep listening, and making requests. (Discover more at www.cnvc.org)
